Discover Fullerton Cove Farm:

A small hobby farm North of Newcastle, NSW, offering a relaxed and supportive farm experience with understanding and inclusive practice, without the crowds.

We have a child with additional needs and understand other families have their own unique challenges as well.

We offer families a safe space where their child will be assisted with enhancing their skills in an educational activity-based program suited to the participants needs and interests.

Farm-Based Support Program:

  • Skill Development: capacity-building activities including:

    • Daily Living Tasks: Cooking, laundry, and home skills.

    • Social Skills: Engaging in group activities, communication-building exercises, and developing self-regulation strategies.

    • Farm activity: Participants actively engage with the animals, nature, and try simple farm chores to build skills that promote confidence and self-development.

Animal friends:

Spend time outdoors with our farm animals that provide a calmness to your day, having positive effects on mental health and well-being.

Each session will include animal-based learning activities, introducing natural horsemanship techniques with our ponies Misty and Archie, Coffee and having some fun, joyful playtime with the little lady goats.

Our farm friends include:

Chickens: 'the girls' who you will see scratching about and can collect their eggs.

Ponies: Misty, Archie and Coffee

Sheep: Baarbie our one sheep that lives with the goats

Miniature goats: Wattle, Tilly, Coco and Jelly.

Rescued Honeyeater: our feathered farm friend Stormy, the rescued Honeyeater has been a delight to release after falling from the nest in the January storms.

Winter birds: check out some of the farm fun during Winter 2024.

Participants facilities:

We have a day house that activities are based out of called The Dairy House.

The little house is used as a training facility to enhance daily living skills by building capacity in a simulated independent living environment.

Depending on participant needs and their choices, activities could involve gardening, craft, basic cooking, active time, music, games, social play, also learning 'house hold' tasks.

Sunday Social Groups:
